Ottawa, Ontario (April 13, 2016) - Northern Shield Resources Inc. ("Northern Shield" or the "Company") [TSX-V: NRN] is pleased to announce that it has completed the second and final tranche of a non-brokered private placement (the "Private Placement"). Proceeds of the second tranche totaled $182,250 and were completed under the same terms as the first tranche which closed on April 7, 2016.  In total, 16,666,667 units ("Units") were issued at a price of $0.03 per Unit for aggregate gross proceeds of $500,000.
