("Northern Shield") [TSX-V: NRN] is pleased to announce that drilling has commenced on the Tempest and Typhoon properties in northern Ontario. Five drill-holes totaling 1500 meters are planned. Tempest and Typhoon are part of the 100% owned Storm Claim Group.

Ottawa, Ontario (September 14, 2012) - Northern Shield Resources Inc. ("Northern Shield") [TSXV: NRN] is pleased to announce the results from the first phase of its northern Quebec platinum group element (PGE) exploration program that was funded under the terms of the option agreement with Impala Platinum Holdings Ltd. (“Impala”). A total of 475 rock samples were collected during first phase of exploration from the Idefix property and surrounding region. A second follow-up phase of the program has just been completed and a further 166 channel and 106 grab samples have been submitted for analysis. Significant PGE (Pt+Pd) mineralization was discovered during the first phase including 16.2 g/t Pt+Pd+Au over 1 meter at Idefix and the discovery of three other PGE occurrences in the region, all of which prompted the immediate follow-up phase.

Ottawa (August 22, 2012) – Northern Shield Resources Inc. ("Northern Shield") (TSXV: NRN) and its partner Discovery Harbour Resources Corp. (“Discovery Harbour”) are very pleased to announce the results of the 12-hole drill program completed at Wabassi in July. Results include the intersection of 37.75% zinc over 1.9 meters and over 95 meters of stringer copper mineralization at Anomaly E, and the intersection of 16.3 g/t gold in the A1 Zone. The drilling is clearly beginning to define a significant copper-zinc VMS body at Anomaly E and reinforce the potential of other targets of the Wabassi and Tempest properties to also host copper, zinc and silver mineralization. It also confirms the potential for lode gold mineralization within the greenstone belt.

Ottawa, Ontario (April 12, 2012) - Northern Shield Resources Inc. ("Northern Shield") [TSX-V: NRN] is pleased to announce that it has completed a non-brokered private placement (the "Private Placement") with SIDEX Limited Partnership for gross proceeds of $200,000 by issuing 909,091 units (“Units”) at $0.22 per Unit. Each Unit consists of one common share and one half of one common share purchase warrant. Each whole warrant is exercisable for one common share at a price of $0.40 per common share for a period of 24 months. The Units are subject to a hold period of 4 months from the date of issuance and the Private Placement is subject to the final approval of the TSX Venture Exchange. The proceeds from the Private Placement will be primarily used for Northern Shield’s PGE exploration efforts in Quebec.

Ottawa (January 31, 2012) - Northern Shield Resources Inc. ("Northern Shield") [TSX-V: NRN] is pleased to announce that it has entered into a subscription agreement with HudBay Minerals Inc. (TSX: HBM)(NYSE: HBM) (“HudBay”) pursuant to which HudBay has agreed to purchase 11,300,000 units of Northern Shield at a price of $0.22/unit for gross proceeds of $2,486,000. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including final approval of the TSX Venture Exchange, and certain post-closing covenants.
