("Northern Shield" or the "Company") [TSX-V: NRN] is pleased to announce that drilling has commenced at the Shot Rock Property (“Shot Rock”) in Nova Scotia and that an airborne magnetic survey has been completed at the Root & Cellar Property (“Root & Cellar”) in Newfoundland. Both properties are being explored for low sulphidation epithermal (LSE) gold mineralization. Northern Shield can earn up to an 80% interest in Shot Rock and 100% in Root & Cellar.
